Reception Year Teacher

Reception Year Teacher – Full-time, long-term position from January 2026 until July 2026 (with possible extension to December 2026)
We are seeking an experienced Reception Year Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school community. The school promotes high standards of teaching and learning, with a strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing and personal development. Duties as Reception Year Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Work closely with support staff and parents to promote holistic development
- Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth through play-based learning
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to school reports and meetings
Ideal Reception Year Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Early Years settings, preferably Reception
- Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Reception Year Teacher
- Passionate about early education and creating positive learning experiences
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
