Job description
A school in London is seeking a highly organised, professional, and approachable School Administrator to become a key part of their front office team. The successful candidate will play an essential role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school, providing administrative and clerical support to staff, pupils, and parents. Beginning September 2025.
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
Duties as a School Administrator:
Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff – providing a warm, professional welcome.
Manage incoming calls, emails, and post, ensuring efficient communication and confidentiality.
Maintain accurate pupil records using the school’s MIS (e.g., SIMS, Arbor).
Support attendance monitoring and data input.
Assist with admissions, school letters, newsletters, and correspondence.
Handle general office tasks, including filing, photocopying, stock ordering, and calendar coordination.
Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and other senior staff as required.
Ideal School Administrator:
Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Friendly and professional manner with excellent interpersonal skills as a School Administrator.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
