Are you a creative and committed teacher ready to make a meaningful impact at a key point in a child’s learning journey?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing Year 2 Teacher to join a team at a wonderful school. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a class through their final year in Key Stage 1, helping to build strong foundations for future success.

Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  • Prepare pupils for end of Key Stage 1 assessments through high-quality teaching and support

  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Track pupil progress and provide meaningful feedback to support development

  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community

Ideal Year 2 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A solid understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly the Year 2 expectations

  • Experience of or willingness to deliver phonics (e.g. Little Wandle, Read Write Inc.)

  • A kind, calm and consistent approach to behaviour and learning

  • Good organisational and communication skills as a Year 2 Teacher.

  • A team player with a commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration
