Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and committed SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a pupil with special educational needs. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference to a child’s learning journey and personal development. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:
Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with identified SEN needs
Assisting with learning activities, adapting resources, and supporting progress across the curriculum
Supporting the pupil’s social, emotional and behavioural development
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support plans
Encouraging independence and confidence both in and outside the classroom
Ideal SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:
Have experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech & language, learning difficulties)
Be patient, empathetic and able to build positive, trusting relationships
Hold a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
Be proactive, flexible and a strong team player as a SEN 121 Teaching Assistant.
