Job description
SEND Teacher – Full-time, daily supply from as soon as possible
These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings in Trafford and the surrounding areas.
Duties as SEND Teacher:
- Deliver tailored lessons to pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Work closely with support staff and SENCOs to implement individual education plans
- Create inclusive and engaging learning environments that promote progress and independence
- Monitor pupil development and contribute to reviews and target setting
- Collaborate with parents, carers and external agencies to support pupil outcomes
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
Ideal SEND Teacher:
- Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Has recent experience teaching pupils with SEND in a primary school setting
- Demonstrates strong understanding of a range of learning needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
- Is patient, adaptable and confident working with pupils with complex needs
- Has a clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
