Job description

SEND Teaching Assistants – Full-time and Part-time roles available

We are seeking enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools in Attleborough and the surrounding areas. These flexible opportunities are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and want to make a positive impact in diverse educational settings.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Implement strategies outlined in individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Promote an inclusive and safe learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
