SEND Teaching Assistant – Daily supply cover from ASAP

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teaching assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Brent and the surrounding areas.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

Support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities across a range of school environments
Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
Promote inclusive practices and help pupils access the curriculum
Provide one-to-one and small group support
Implement behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation techniques
Monitor and record pupil progress and development
Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

Holds a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification
Has experience supporting pupils with SEND in primary or secondary settings
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience
Understands a range of SEND needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Works effectively as part of a team and independently
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
