Special Needs Specialist

Step Teachers are looking for dedicated Special Needs Specialists for daily supply roles around Northolt, starting in November 2025.

Duties as a Special Needs Specialist:

• Supporting pupils with a range of additional and complex learning needs

• Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions

• Working closely with class teachers and support staff to promote inclusion and engagement

• Providing emotional and behavioural support to help pupils reach their full potential

• Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and support provided

Ideal Special Needs Specialist:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEND) is essential

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Special Needs Specialist

• A caring, patient and flexible approach to working with diverse needs

• Relevant qualifications in Education
