Job description

A wonderful new secondary school in West Harrow are after a Maths teacher to join their budding MFL team on a full or part-time basis from September 2019. This position would suit either an experienced practicioner, or a Newly Qualified Teacher looking to complete an induction year at an exciting and innovative new free school which has already won numerous awards and received plenty of praise from the local community and government alike.

As a teacher of Maths at the school you really do have an incredible opportunity to develop your career as the institution itself develops and expands over time. Like with any new school, you talented Maths teachers will be faced with a wealth of progression options as the school continues to, inevitably, excel throughout its formative years and grow to be a stimulating and rewarding workplace. This role focuses on Maths teaching specifically, but if you’re able to offer a second, third or even fourth language as well then you can look to share your expertise at the school either right away or later into your tenure.

The salary offered for this position is MPS-UPS Outer London (pro-rata for part-time) for a teacher of Maths and you can expect TLRs to come for any additional responsibilities being offered – as with other job opportunities of a similar nature – though there are not currently any responsibilities on offer. However, as mentioned above this is a fast-growing school that will have plenty of leadership responsibilities popping up in the near future.

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Unlike other agencies, Step Teachers are more than happy to process your pay via PAYE – you will not be forced to go with an Umbrella Company whilst on supply.
