Teaching Assistant

Are you a caring and committed professional with a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification?
A welcoming primary school in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality classroom support and help pupils reach their full potential. Starting as soon as possible.

Duties as Teaching Assistant:

• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.

• Provide 1:1 or small-group interventions, supporting pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs.

• Assist with planning, assessment and record keeping.

• Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

• Contribute to whole-school activities and enrichment programmes.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – essential.

• Previous experience working with children in a school setting.

• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills as a Teaching Assistant.

• A patient, flexible approach and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of all learners.
