We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school on a long-term temporary basis, starting in November 2025.

Pupils are happy, confident, and feel safe. They enjoy learning in a kind and respectful environment where staff have high expectations and provide a broad, engaging curriculum. Opportunities for leadership and enrichment, including clubs and trips, help pupils develop socially and academically, preparing them well for the future.

Duties as a Year 1 Teacher:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.

• Assess and monitor pupil progress, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately.

• Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupils’ learning experience.

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

Ideal Year 1 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Year 1 Teacher.

• A caring, patient and flexible approach to teaching.
