An exciting opportunity to join a creatively engaging primary school in North London has arisen, as they seek to appoint an Year 1 teacher to start at the beginning of March. The role of a Year 1 teacher is a temporary post in an ‘good’ school with a reputation for academic excellence. Being a year 1 teacher at this particular school will entail the development of individual learning and creative drive in each pupil.
- To make full use of the updated early years curriculum to deliver effective learning strategies as a Year 1 teacher.
- The school are happy to consider an outstanding Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) but suggest that the role might be better suited to primary teachers with experience across the curriculum.
- As a qualified Year 1 primary teacher you should be a creative and enthusiastic practitioner who is able to use all available resources to their full extent.
- As a qualified Year 1 primary teacher you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with proven ability to understand and utilise current theory and practice in relation to learning and development.

The School is in a highly diverse area of London and many children enter with below average language skills, however the staff are justifiably proud of their record of progression for these and all pupils at the school.
