Year 2/3 Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a committed, creative and passionate Year 2/3 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach a mixed-age class and inspire children during a crucial stage in their learning journey. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 2/3 Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for Years 2 and 3.
Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.
Support pupils’ academic, emotional and social development.
Accurately assess progress and use data to inform next steps in learning.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to promote high standards of teaching and learning.
Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in KS1 and/or lower KS2.
Strong understanding of the Year 2 and Year 3 curriculum, including end-of-KS1 assessment.
Ability to plan for mixed-age teaching and adapt to meet varied learning needs.
Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills as a Year 2/3 Teacher.
A caring, enthusiastic and reflective approach to teaching.
