Job description

We are seeking a committed, creative and passionate Year 2/3 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach a mixed-age class and inspire children during a crucial stage in their learning journey. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 2/3 Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for Years 2 and 3.

  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.

  • Support pupils’ academic, emotional and social development.

  • Accurately assess progress and use data to inform next steps in learning.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to promote high standards of teaching and learning.

Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in KS1 and/or lower KS2.

  • Strong understanding of the Year 2 and Year 3 curriculum, including end-of-KS1 assessment.

  • Ability to plan for mixed-age teaching and adapt to meet varied learning needs.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills as a Year 2/3 Teacher.

  • A caring, enthusiastic and reflective approach to teaching.
