Year 2 Teacher
Job description
Supply Teacher (Year 2) – 0.4, long-term cover from 16 April to 22 May
This welcoming and well-structured school environment provides pupils with strong teaching across the curriculum. Leadership is well organised and committed, ensuring pupils experience a purposeful and engaging education. These strengths create a supportive setting for a Supply Teacher joining the Year 2 team on a Thursday and Friday.
Duties as Supply Teacher (Year 2):
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that follow the KS1 curriculum.
- Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and pupil engagement.
- Provide a consistent and calm classroom environment during the absence period.
- Mark work in line with school policy and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with support staff and contribute to the wider school day.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld at all times.
- Support continuity of learning across the long-term cover period.
Ideal Supply Teacher (Year 2):
- QTS qualification and experience teaching within KS1.
- Confident delivering the Year 2 curriculum and adapting lessons when required.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, positive approach.
- Reliable, organised, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Able to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff.
- Passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences.
