Job description
This is a friendly and inclusive primary school with a strong focus on nurturing every child’s potential. We are looking to appoint a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children, understands the importance of positive relationships, and is eager to contribute to a vibrant learning environment. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 3 Teaching Assistant:
Work alongside the Year 3 class teacher to support teaching and learning across the curriculum.
Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, including those with additional needs.
Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and displays.
Support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural development.
Contribute to school life, including trips, events, and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Ideal Year 3 Teaching Assistant:
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience).
Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
A calm, patient, and positive approach to supporting children’s learning.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
