Year 3 Teaching Assistant

This is a friendly and inclusive primary school with a strong focus on nurturing every child’s potential. We are looking to appoint a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children, understands the importance of positive relationships, and is eager to contribute to a vibrant learning environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 3 Teaching Assistant:

• Work alongside the Year 3 class teacher to support teaching and learning across the curriculum.

• Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, including those with additional needs.

• Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

• Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and displays.

• Support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural development.

• Contribute to school life, including trips, events, and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Ideal Year 3 Teaching Assistant:

• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience).

• Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.

• A calm, patient, and positive approach to supporting children’s learning.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
