Year 3 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and vibrant primary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on children’s learning and development. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 3 Teaching Assistant:

• Support the Year 3 class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

• Provide individual and small group support to pupils to help them achieve their learning goals.

• Assist with classroom management, organisation and preparation of resources.

• Encourage positive behaviour and foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

• Support children with varying needs, including those with SEN, ensuring all pupils are able to access the curriculum.

• Contribute to school activities, trips and enrichment opportunities.

Ideal Year 3 Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable).

• A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Year 3 Teaching Assistant.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• A patient, caring and proactive approach.

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, childcare or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
