Job description

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teacher ready to inspire pupils in Key Stage 2? A welcoming primary school is seeking a passionate Year 4 Teacher to join their team and support children as they develop confidence, curiosity, and independence in learning. Beginning January 2026.

Duties as a Year 4 Teacher:

 

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a range of abilities.

  • Track and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to parents and senior leaders.

  • Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and learning.

  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development, nurturing resilience and self-esteem.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to ensure every child reaches their potential.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.

Ideal Year 4 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and support children of all abilities.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills as a Year 4 Teacher.
