Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming primary school team. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and guide pupils through an important stage of their education as they prepare for the transition into Year 6. Beginning October 2025.

Duties as a Year 5 Teacher:

 

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum

  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress in literacy, numeracy, and wider subjects

  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Encouraging resilience, curiosity, and a love of learning

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupils’ development

Ideal Year 5 Teacher:

 

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

  • Be passionate about delivering a broad and creative curriculum

  • Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 5 Teacher.

  • Be adaptable, motivated, and committed to helping every child succeed
