Job description

​Step Teachers are working with a secondary school based in Finchley to source a Business Studies Teacher to start in September 2022. The position of business studies teacher could be suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECT) in addition to those with more experience. This role is offered on a full-time basis for the full academic year.

The school is a “Good” Ofsted rated school that has been praised for the high expectations set but the senior leadership team with pupils’ achieving good to outstanding GCSE results. The school has outstanding behaviour and safety.

The Role:

  • Strong Business Studies curriculum knowledge at KS3 - 5

  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable

  • Ability to assess and report on your students when required

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Business Studies

  • Relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
