Criminology Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Criminology Teacher to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons to Post-16 learners. This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator who is passionate about criminological theory, social justice, and the criminal justice system, and who can inspire students to think critically about the world around them. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Criminology Teacher:
Teach Criminology at Key Stage 5 (WJEC Level 3 Diploma or equivalent).
Deliver well-structured lessons that promote discussion, analysis, and independent research.
Assess and monitor student progress in line with qualification standards.
Provide academic support and guidance to help students achieve their potential.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources.
Ideal Criminology Teacher:
Hold QTS or a relevant teaching qualification.
Have a degree in Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, Law, or a related subject.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of criminological theories, contemporary issues, and assessment frameworks.
Be an excellent communicator with strong classroom management skills as a Criminology Teacher.
Have a passion for post-16 education and supporting student aspirations.
