Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join a forward-thinking and high-achieving department from September 2025. We are looking for an inspiring educator who can deliver high-quality lessons and engage students in understanding economic principles and real-world financial issues.

Duties as Economics Teacher:

 

  • Teach Economics at Key Stage 3 and 4

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote critical thinking and real-world application

  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement

  • Contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular enrichment opportunities

  • Support students with university preparation, including Oxbridge and Russell Group pathways where appropriate

Ideal Economics Teacher:

 

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Have a strong academic background and in-depth subject knowledge in Economics

  • Be passionate about teaching and learning, with the ability to inspire and challenge students

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills as Economics Teacher

  • Be committed to their own professional development and the wider school community
