Economics Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join a successful secondary school/sixth form. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher to inspire students and deliver engaging lessons that foster a love of Economics. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an Economics Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality Economics lessons across KS4–KS5.
Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that challenges all abilities.
Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and set clear targets for achievement.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources.
Support students with university preparation, career pathways, and enrichment opportunities.
Uphold school policies and promote high standards of behaviour and learning.
Ideal Economics Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Economics or a related subject.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
A passion for inspiring young people to understand global, national, and business issues.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as an Economics Teacher.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
