English Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic English Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and engage students in the study of English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5. Starting September 2025.
Duties as an English Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality, creative English lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners
Use a variety of teaching methods to foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking
Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with departmental and national expectations
Contribute to the wider English department through collaboration and participation in enrichment activities
Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment
Ideal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in English or a related subject
Experience teaching English at secondary level (including GCSE)
A strong understanding of curriculum developments and assessment requirements
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills as an English Teacher.
