Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher with experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and adaptable teacher who can inspire a love of English while ensuring that every learner, regardless of their starting point, achieves their potential. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an English Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with a range of SEN, including speech and language, dyslexia, ASD, and SEMH.
Work collaboratively with the SENCO and support staff to implement strategies and personalised learning plans.
Provide targeted interventions and additional support where needed.
Create an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Assess, track, and monitor student progress, ensuring high expectations for all.
Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities.
Ideal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching English at secondary level.
Proven experience or training in supporting students with SEN.
Strong classroom management and differentiation skills as an English Teacher.
Patience, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Must have a motor vehicle and driver's licence.
