English Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

Duties as English Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across relevant year groups
Support pupils in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
Assess learning within lessons and provide constructive feedback
Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote consistent routines
Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
Contribute to collaborative departmental planning
Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal English Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English
Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to inspire and motivate learners of differing abilities
Good communication and organisational skills
Reflective, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
Dedicated to safeguarding and pupil well‑being
