English Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

Duties as English Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across relevant year groups
- Support pupils in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Assess learning within lessons and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote consistent routines
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
- Contribute to collaborative departmental planning
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of differing abilities
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
- Dedicated to safeguarding and pupil well‑being
