English Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary role on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting as soon as possible until July 2026

Duties as English Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across relevant year groups
Teach high‑quality sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays
Support pupils in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
Provide clear feedback on pupil progress through ongoing assessment
Maintain positive behaviour and consistent routines
Adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs
Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative work
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal English Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English
Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to inspire and motivate pupils of mixed abilities
Good organisational and communication skills
Reflective, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
