Job description
General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary position starting January 2026
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Science Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school environment. Duties as General Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole-school initiatives
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and safeguarding at all times
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Proven experience teaching Science in secondary settings
- Strong background in supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities
- Commitment to professional development and safeguarding practices
