Geography Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Geography Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Finchley and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging Geography lessons across a range of year groups.

Duties as Geography Teacher:

Deliver engaging Geography lessons using provided plans
Teach key curriculum areas including physical, human, and environmental geography
Support pupils in developing enquiry skills, map‑reading, analysis, and geographical literacy
Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of mixed‑ability classes
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
Assess, record, and report on pupil progress where required
Contribute to departmental planning during longer‑term placements
Promote curiosity, global awareness, and critical thinking

Ideal Geography Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge across the Geography curriculum
Confident behaviour and classroom management skills
Ability to motivate and inspire learners across different key stages
Adaptable across varied school environments
Strong communication and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Willingness to engage in professional development
