Geography Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Geography Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Finchley and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging Geography lessons across a range of year groups.

Duties as Geography Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Geography lessons using provided plans
  • Teach key curriculum areas including physical, human, and environmental geography
  • Support pupils in developing enquiry skills, map‑reading, analysis, and geographical literacy
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of mixed‑ability classes
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress where required
  • Contribute to departmental planning during longer‑term placements
  • Promote curiosity, global awareness, and critical thinking

Ideal Geography Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Geography curriculum
  • Confident behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners across different key stages
  • Adaptable across varied school environments
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Willingness to engage in professional development
