Humanities Teacher – Full-time, temporary paternity cover role from March 2026

Duties as Humanities Teacher:

Teach planned lessons in Philosophy and Religion, Religious Studies, and Sociology
Deliver high‑quality lessons with no planning or marking required
Support pupils in developing critical thinking, discussion, and analytical skills
Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and promote positive routines
Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
Provide general cover across the school when required
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive curriculum approach
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Humanities Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Humanities subjects
Confident delivering Philosophy and Religion, Religious Studies, and Sociology at secondary level
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to engage pupils in reflective and analytical thinking
Good communication and organisational abilities
Flexible, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
