Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Maths Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire young learners and help them develop confidence and enjoyment in mathematics. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Maths Teacher:

 

  • Teach engaging and challenging Maths lessons across KS1 and/or KS2.

  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Use creative approaches to make Maths accessible, enjoyable, and relevant.

  • Support pupils in developing problem-solving, reasoning, and numeracy skills.

  • Monitor and track progress, providing targeted support where needed.

  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities.

Ideal Maths Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths and the ability to make learning engaging.

  • Experience teaching in primary schools (KS1 and/or KS2).

  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills as a Maths Teacher.

  • A commitment to inclusive teaching and supporting all learners.

  • Dedication to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
