Year 1 Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a warm and supportive primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire young learners as they progress through the crucial early stages of their education. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 1 Teacher:
Teach a Year 1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons across the curriculum.
Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with the national curriculum.
Support pupils in developing strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities.
Ideal Year 1 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and early childhood development.
Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills as a Year 1 Teacher.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
