Job description

We are excited to be recruiting a passionate and creative Music Teacher to join a primary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher to inspire a love of music in children and help them develop their creativity and confidence. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Music Teacher:

 

  • Teach engaging and inclusive music lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

  • Plan and deliver lessons that develop pupils’ musical skills, knowledge, and appreciation.

  • Lead singing, instrumental activities, and school performances.

  • Encourage creativity, teamwork, and self-expression through music.

  • Support and inspire pupils of all abilities, ensuring lessons are accessible and enjoyable.

  • Contribute to the wider school community, including assemblies, productions, and extracurricular clubs.

Ideal Music Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Music.

  • Strong knowledge of primary music curriculum and pedagogy.

  • Ability to play an instrument (piano/keyboard desirable) and lead singing.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills as a Music Teacher.

  • A passion for inspiring young learners and making music fun.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
