Nursery Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a school where children thrive in a safe and stimulating environment. Staff work collaboratively to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that supports early development and fosters a love of learning. Leaders are committed to high standards and ensure safeguarding and pupil well-being are prioritised.

Duties as Nursery Teaching Assistant:

Support children in the nursery with learning and play activities
Assist the class teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Observe and record children’s progress and share feedback with staff
Support children during transitions and routines such as snack and outdoor play
Work closely with colleagues to implement individual learning plans

Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with early years or nursery-aged children
Strong understanding of child development and EYFS framework
Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach
Relevant qualifications in childcare or early years education (desirable)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
