Maths Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary cover from April 2026 until July 2026

Duties as Maths Teacher:

Teach Maths full time across relevant secondary year groups
Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with curriculum expectations
Support pupils’ progress in numeracy, reasoning, and problem‑solving
Adapt teaching to meet varied learning needs and abilities
Maintain consistent routines and positive behaviour in the classroom
Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative practices
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Maths Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths
Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4
Strong subject knowledge and secure classroom management skills
Able to motivate learners of mixed abilities
Good organisational and communication skills
Proactive, reflective, and committed to high‑quality teaching
Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
