Nursery Teaching Assistant

This Nursery is looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. You will play a key role in supporting the development, wellbeing, and early learning of our youngest children during these crucial foundation years. Beginning September 2025.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young children and eager to support their curiosity, confidence, and communication.

Duties as a Nursery Teaching Assistant:

• Assist in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through structured play and practical activities.

• Support the class teacher with daily routines, observations, and record-keeping.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to help children reach developmental milestones.

• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction.

• Help with the preparation and organisation of learning resources and classroom displays.

• Support children’s personal care, hygiene, and wellbeing.

Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:

• A kind, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

• Nursery Nurse Qualification.
