Job description
PE Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary position starting January 2026
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated PE Teacher to join a school that values inclusivity and high standards. Duties as PE Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Promote health, fitness, and teamwork through a varied curriculum
- Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and safeguarding at all times
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives
Ideal PE Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching PE in secondary settings
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils of all abilities
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills
- Commitment to promoting physical education and well-being
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection requirements
