Job description

One of our partner schools in Hertford is currently recruiting for a Primary Teacher to start in a Year 1 class for a long term position to run till the end of the academic year. The position of Primary Teacher will commence in April 2019 and is suitable for NQT's in addition to those with more experience.

 

  • As a qualified Primary Teacher with lower KS1 experience, you will have previously held at least one full-time teaching position and have proven experience of planning and teaching all subjects in your area of the curriculum
  • An excellent classroom practitioner, possessing sound classroom management techniques, you will establish high standards of conduct, emotional and learning behaviour in all pupils
  • Exhibiting creativity and an ability to inspire pupils through the planning, preparation and delivery of highly stimulating, motivating and well sequenced lessons, you will be comfortable in adapting your teaching for children with a variety of additional needs
  • You will be working with a diverse group of students and will be expected to differentiate accordingly
     

Pupils are highly encouraged and they apply themselves to their learning quickly. They make good progress and reach standards that are above average in the core subjects.  Pupils are happy and behave well and know how to keep themselves safe in a wide variety of circumstances. They flourish in the safe environment provided by the school.  All leaders have a clear understanding of how to continue raising achievement and have successfully improved the quality of teaching and pupils’ attainment since the previous inspection.

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including: an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK.
