I have been approached by a school in St Albans, Hertfordshire who have asked me to try and help find for them a Year 5 Class Teacher. The school is one form entry and is situated just outside of the town centre.

This position has come about at the last minute due to the change of heart of a teacher moving to the area, hence the fact that they have asked us to help at the eleventh hour.

As the successful candidate will be starting at the school part way through the year the ideal person would have recent Year 5 experience so they can pick up from where the class are at.

This position starts from Easter or sooner if available.

To be eligible for this position you must have QTS and be prepared to go through a registration process with Step Teachers.

Unlike other agencies Step Teachers are more than happy to process your pay via PAYE – you will not be forced to go with an Umbrella Company.

Candidates will be subject to variety of checks including: an enhanced DBS check, full references, including from your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
