Successful primary teachers will need to be energetic and enthusiastic towards their craft. We will want to see the drive and clear understanding on how best to get the most out of their students. You should be able to carefully plan your lessons to ensure they are creative, innovative and really engage your students.

About the Primary Teacher Role

This primary teacher role is based in a fantastic and eager Reception class. They want a primary school teacher looking for some long-term work and that would be open to staying at the school on a permeant basis. You will be responsible for coordinating educational activities that will contribute to their language, social and personal skills. You need to have a strong grasp of the KS1 curriculum and have the experience to teach Reception. The school wants you to be able to translate your knowledge on to the students.

The School

This is a vibrant primary school in Stratford, East London. The school’s caring ethos is at the heart of all that they do. They seek to nurture the ‘whole child’ for the time they are entrusted to them. Alongside academic progress, it is equally important to them that the children are given opportunities to develop their social skills, self-esteem, and independence.  Their Ofsted Report comments that “the school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding.”  It also noted that “Their attitudes are shaped by the school’s position as a ‘rights respecting' school.”
