SEN 121 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated, long-term support for a pupil with special educational needs on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible.

SEN 121 Teaching Assistant Duties:

• Provide consistent one-to-one support to a named pupil throughout the school day, helping them access the curriculum and achieve individual targets.

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and review tailored education and behaviour plans.

• Support personal care and daily routines as required.

• Encourage social interaction, emotional well-being and independence.

• Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to regular review meetings.

Ideal SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:

• Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language needs) in a school or similar environment.

• Strong communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach.

• Flexibility and the ability to adapt strategies to meet changing needs as a SEN 121 Teaching Assistant.

• Current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
