SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, Temp to perm starting March 2026

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Provide full-time support for pupils with a range of SEND needs
- Assist with learning activities, emotional regulation, and personalised strategies
- Support 1:1 and small-group learning across different subjects
- Help pupils working significantly below age-related expectations
- Reinforce key learning through modelling, repetition, and structured routines
- Implement behaviour and learning plans consistently
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN teams to deliver targeted support
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Strong SEND experience is essential
- Confident supporting pupils working at lower developmental levels
- Calm, patient, and resilient when supporting complex needs
- Effective communicator with strong teamwork skills
- Able to follow guidance while using initiative
