General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026 (part-time considered)

Duties as General Science Teacher:

Teach General Science across KS3 classes
Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of learning needs and abilities
Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
Support pupils in developing enquiry skills, scientific understanding, and confidence
Assess learning and provide verbal and written feedback
Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal General Science Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science
Strong knowledge of KS3 Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to motivate and support mixed‑ability learners
Strong communication and organisational skills
Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality science teaching
Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
