General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026 (part-time considered)

Duties as General Science Teacher:

  • Teach General Science across KS3 classes
  • Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of learning needs and abilities
  • Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
  • Support pupils in developing enquiry skills, scientific understanding, and confidence
  • Assess learning and provide verbal and written feedback
  • Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal General Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science
  • Strong knowledge of KS3 Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to motivate and support mixed‑ability learners
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality science teaching
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
