An inclusive and supportive secondary school in Tetherdown is seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday).

Role Overview:

• Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN)

• Location: Tetherdown, North London

• Start Date: ASAP

• Contract: Full-time, long-term (potential for permanent role)

• Hours: Monday to Friday, during term time

• Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional needs

• Promote engagement, independence, and inclusion within the classroom

• Assist the class teacher with behaviour management and differentiated learning

• Support students both inside and outside of the classroom as needed

• Help implement EHCP targets and work closely with the SENCO

Candidate Requirements:

• Prior experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting (essential)

• Ability to commit to 5 days per week on a long-term basis

• A calm, patient, and confident approach to behaviour and learning support

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting young people
