Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated school team and support pupils across the primary phase. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children to thrive, both academically and emotionally. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as Teaching Assistant:

• Assist the class teacher with the delivery of high-quality lessons and learning activities.

• Provide support to individuals and small groups of pupils, including those with additional needs.

• Help prepare classroom materials and maintain an organised, inclusive learning environment.

• Support pupils’ social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and well-being.

• Contribute to the planning of activities and the assessment of pupil progress.

• Supervise pupils during break times, outings, or other school activities as required.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.

• A patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Teaching Assistant.

• A flexible and proactive attitude to working with children of different abilities and backgrounds.

• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
