Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2/3 Class Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive team at this vibrant school. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach a mixed-age class and guide pupils through the transition between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in a nurturing, well-resourced environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 2/3 Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of Year 2 and Year 3 pupils.

  • Use formative and summative assessment to track progress and plan next steps in learning.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

  • Work effectively with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to support each child’s development.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, clubs and enrichment activities.

Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • A sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 and 2 curricula.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills as a Year 2/3 Teacher.

  • A nurturing approach and strong behaviour management strategies.
