Year 2 Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a motivated and creative Year 2 Teacher to join welcoming primary schools across the Cambridge area.
You will help pupils consolidate their Key Stage 1 learning, prepare for Key Stage 2, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as Year 2 Teacher:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Year 2 curriculum, including SATs preparation.
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL.
Track, assess and report on progress, setting clear next steps for improvement.
Maintain a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil wellbeing and achievement.
Contribute to whole-school activities, trips and enrichment opportunities.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.
Experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1 is desirable; enthusiastic ECTs are welcome.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 2 Teacher.
Ability to inspire, motivate and engage young learners.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
