Job description

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic primary teacher who can inspire a love of learning? A welcoming primary school near Norwich is seeking an engaging Year 2 Teacher to join their supportive Key Stage 1 team. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities.

  • Track and assess pupil progress, keeping accurate records and reporting to parents and senior leaders.

  • Create a positive, stimulating and safe classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.

  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and parents to support each child’s learning journey.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and whole-school events.

Ideal Year 2 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective classroom strategies.

  • Ability to inspire, motivate and support young learners of all abilities.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills as a Year 2 Teacher.
