Job description
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic primary teacher who can inspire a love of learning? A welcoming primary school near Norwich is seeking an engaging Year 2 Teacher to join their supportive Key Stage 1 team. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities.
Track and assess pupil progress, keeping accurate records and reporting to parents and senior leaders.
Create a positive, stimulating and safe classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
Support pupils’ social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and parents to support each child’s learning journey.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and whole-school events.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective classroom strategies.
Ability to inspire, motivate and support young learners of all abilities.
Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills as a Year 2 Teacher.
