Year 2 Teacher
Job description
We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly primary school on a long-term temporary basis starting November 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to guide pupils through a key stage of their learning and development.
Duties as Year 2 Teacher:
Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
Create a positive classroom atmosphere that supports every child’s academic and personal growth.
Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and the wider school community.
Uphold the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience teaching at KS1, ideally Year 2.
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as Year 2 Teacher.
Current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
