Year 5 Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Year 5 Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive school team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach within Upper Key Stage 2 and make a meaningful impact on pupils as they prepare for the transition to Year 6. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Year 5 Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and adapt teaching accordingly
Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement, and personal development
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and families
Ideal Year 5 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5 or Upper KS2
Excellent subject knowledge, particularly in English and maths
Strong classroom management skills and a creative approach to teaching as a Year 5 Teacher.
