Year 5 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting ASAP with no planning required

Duties as Year 5 Teacher:

Teach a Year 5 class full time using provided planning
Deliver engaging lessons and ensure learning objectives are met
Adapt delivery to meet a range of learning needs, including SEND
Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
Support pupils’ progress in literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum subjects
Provide verbal feedback to guide pupil development
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistent KS2 provision
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Year 5 Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS2 experience
Confident teaching Year 5 and delivering lessons using provided planning
Effective behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
Able to motivate and support pupils of differing abilities
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proactive, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupil progress
Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
