Year 5 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting ASAP with no planning required

Duties as Year 5 Teacher:

  • Teach a Year 5 class full time using provided planning
  • Deliver engaging lessons and ensure learning objectives are met
  • Adapt delivery to meet a range of learning needs, including SEND
  • Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
  • Support pupils’ progress in literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum subjects
  • Provide verbal feedback to guide pupil development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistent KS2 provision
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Year 5 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS2 experience
  • Confident teaching Year 5 and delivering lessons using provided planning
  • Effective behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
  • Able to motivate and support pupils of differing abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupil progress
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
